From September 19 to 21, 2025, Vino al Vino returns to Panzano in Chianti, the annual event that brings together the wineries of the Panzano Winemakers' Union for an event dedicated to winemaking excellence, territorial identity, and direct dialogue between producers and the public.
This year's edition takes on a special significance: it marks the thirtieth anniversary of the founding of the Panzano in Chianti Winegrowers' Union, established in 1995 during the first edition of Vino al Vino . Our organization was the first winegrowers' association founded in the Chianti Classico region, with the aim of promoting environmentally friendly viticulture deeply rooted in the land that produces it.
During the event, visitors will be able to taste a selection of over 80 Chianti Classico and IGT wines, engaging directly with the producers present in Piazza Bucciarelli. A unique opportunity to discover the fruits of their labors, rooted in consistency, quality, and sustainability.
Today, the Panzano Winegrowers' Union represents nearly the entire Panzano Additional Geographical Unit (UGA), with a vineyard area of 595 hectares. Currently, 95% of the vineyards are certified organic : an extraordinary achievement, the fruit of a journey that began in 2012 when Panzano was recognized as Italy's first organic wine district, with 60% of its vineyard area already converted to organic. This pioneering model has set a precedent and continues to serve as a benchmark in the national winemaking landscape.
The Union's work has been driven by a strong spirit of collaboration since its inception. The founding companies launched a collective project that brought together skills and values, building over the years a shared identity capable of highlighting the quality of the wines and the authentic connection between land, culture, and tradition.
Thanks also to ongoing dialogue with the SPEVIS Experimental Station, the Panzano area has become a true laboratory of sustainable viticulture, capable of combining winemaking excellence, biodiversity conservation, and agronomic innovation.
Vino al Vino 2025 confirms the centrality of this journey, celebrating 30 years of history, community, and love for wine together with visitors.
