The competition organized by the Centre for Research and Studies of the mountain viticulture (Cervim) selects productions that are made "heroic" and unique by altitude, slope, viticultural systems on terraces or steps or cultivation in small islands. There are eight categories in the competition, from white wines to red wines, from sparkling wines to fortified wines.
From tomorrow until Sunday the evaluation committees will work in Valle d’Aosta to reward the mountain wines of 2015.
In addition to the up for grabs medals there are also numerous special awards for the women of wine, to young producers, to organic or biodynamic wines.
The award ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, November 22nd, at the Forte di Bard, in the frame of the Vins Extremes 2015 event.
