The Edmund Mach Foundation (FEM) of San Michele all’Adige presented the micro–vinifications produced by four new varieties tolerant to botrytis, the fungus parasite that attacks vines and other plants.
Iasma Eco 1, Iasma Eco 2, Iasma Eco 3, Iasma Eco 4: here are the names given to the highly qualified, durable and environmentally friendly new varieties.
Since sixteen years, at the Foundation they work on sustainable and selected intersections, through activities of traditional breeding. «It has been a long way – the president of the Edmund Mach Foundation, Francesco Salamini, said – but the first results have arrived. The next step will be resistant, if not immune to disease, vines».
