The numbers are still partial, tomorrow the definitive ones, but the Veneto vineyard will once again be at the top of the national ranking for production and export.
The analytical production data of the 2020 regional harvest will be presented
Wednesday 23 December (10:30 am) on the ZOOM platform (registration on: https://trittico3_2020.eventbrite.it, already over 120 members) on the occasion of the third and last Focus of the 2020 Wine Triptych, a historic event promoted by Veneto Agriculture with the Region and Avepa.
Tomorrow, therefore, the exact quantity of grapes harvested will be known and consequently the quantity of wine produced this year divided by type. But we already know
that Veneto production in 2020 exceeded 14 million quintals (14,039,000)
of grapes, about one million quintals more than last year (13.1 q), and that once again the real "wine star" on all fronts will be Prosecco.
The meeting will also be attended by the Regional Councilor for Agriculture Federico Caner and the Commissioner of Veneto Agriculture Alberto Negro. Among the speakers also the Sicilian entrepreneur José Rallo , representing the ICE.
