Boom of certifications for the vegan wine
Carmen Nicchi Somaschi, president of the Italian Vegetarian Association (Avi), said that vegans account for 1% of the population and the vegan movement is continuously growing. This is proven also by the requests for veg certification. In one year there are 7 only for wine.
«The vegan lifestyle – Somaschi said – is not chosen for fashion nor for health. It must be a choice consistent with our way of thinking».
