Valpantena winery restarts from the sales points

Cantina Valpantena accelerates on direct distribution to the public. After the closing of about twenty days imposed by the emergency linked to Covid-19, the network of eight stores located between Veneto and Lombardy starts again with the inauguration of the new store in Cassano Magnago , in the province of Varese . The opening, scheduled for February and then postponed, was held on Monday 06 July. The store in via Mazzel 56 has a market area and a warehouse and employs two employees. With the new year, the social cooperative of Quinto di Verona strengthens its presence in Lombardy , a strategic area in view of future expansions and very receptive as regards Veronese wines. The range of products offered includes Amarone, Ripasso, the other wines of the historic Torre del Falasco line, including also Lugana and a pure Garganega. Also on the shelves is a selection from the valance Cantina Colli Morenici , on which Cantina Valpantena is carrying out an important business development plan. The merger at the end of 2019 was followed by the restructuring of the store located in Ponti sul Mincio , near Lake Garda. The renovation of the façade of the winery and the renovation of the cellar are now scheduled. In Ponti sul Mincio, the production of a new Classic Method based on pinot noir and chardonnay and a white wine from Brolo dei Giusti is also planned, the top-of-the-range proposal from Cantina Valpantena, which already consists of Amarone and Valpolicella Superiore. "The choice to focus on the approach without mediation with the consumer and on the direct sale of our bottles is a winner - says Luigi Turco , president of Cantina Valpantena - Our network of points of sale, together with the large foreign distribution, allows us to make up for part of the losses that we are experiencing in this period in the Ho.re.ca. channel We expect a slow but gradual recovery, albeit with possible unpredictable scenarios. In spite of the uncertainty we continue determined on the path of diversification of the distribution channels ".

Cantina Valpantena Verona was born in 1958 and consolidated in a short time attracting to itself almost entirely the production of the territory that extends between Valpantena and Val Squaranto. Today it has 250 associated farms and covers an area of 750 hectares of vineyards. To these, since 2003, about 60 exclusively oil companies with 150 hectares of olive grove have been added, thanks to the merger with the Oleificio delle Colline Veronesi which has given rise to an important oil and wine pole with a total number of 320 associated companies. The annual production exceeds 9,500,000 bottles for a turnover that in 2019 was 47 million euros.
