The famous and widely read bimonthly lette , The Wine Advocate was sold to Asian investors.
Editorial control is now in the hands of Lisa Perrotti-Brown, the correspondent from Singapore. This marks new geographies in the world of wine.
There won't be The Wine Advocate paper edition. There will be only the online versiona. The most influent wine critic Robert Parker will work on: region Bordeaux, Rhone, prestigious vintages of Napa California. Some experts believe that Parker will not have a true successor, as globalization makes it impossible for one person may handle many wine areas.
The change of The Wine Advocate's ownership reflects a shift in balance in terms of geography. Today, the Asian market is important. The abatement of taxes on wine makes Asia a global platform for the auction and the companies have settled.
