On 13 April 2012 at the Grand Hotel Savoia in Genoa the awards of "The Professional of the Year 2012" were awarded. The seven associations of SOLIDUS, the forum of the major professional associations in the Italian hotel world, conferred the prizes.

Mr. ANDREA BALLERI, (Ais) - Chef sommelier of the Colonna Pevero Hotel in Porto Cervo (OT)
Mr. DIODATO BUONORA, (Amira) - Director of the Catering & Hospitality magazine
Mr.ROBERTO SABBATINI, (Faipa) - Chef Concierge of the Hotel Internazionale in Bologna
Prof. PIETRO PUPILLO, (Fic) - Teacher of Cooking and Pastry at Ipssar P. Piazza di Palermo
The award is of real prestige in fact the associations that belong to SOLIDUS represent the most representative professions of the hotel world, from managers to housekeepers, from barmen to sommeliers and maitre, from cooks to doormen.
