Inspired by the values set out in the United Nations "Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development" program, the Treviso winery makes public the process of social responsibility aimed at accounting for the impact of the company on the social and environmental context in which it operates.

The new edition of the 2019 Social Report of the Pizzolato Winery is online , a Treviso wine company that has been involved for generations in the creation of an organic, vegan and environmentally friendly viticulture in all its forms. "Also this year we have drawn up our Social Report, an annual commitment for the Pizzolato Winery to which we have kept faith for the past three years - explains Settimo Pizzolato, owner of the winery . " We choose annually to adopt this tool in order to generate interest and attention to environment and create synergies and the desire to think with a long-term perspective. The goal we set ourselves was to give an account, with extreme transparency, of the impact of the company activity, in its entirety, in the social and environmental context, illustrating its philosophies, policies and commitments towards customers, employees, the environment and the community. . We want those who choose a bottle of our wine to fully understand all the choices, ideas and values that inspire our work through this tool. 2019 was an exciting but very demanding year: we reached a production that exceeded 5,000,000 bottles with an expansion of the foreign markets to which we export our product. " The Social Report of the Pizzolato Winery was built starting from inspiring principles contained in the " 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development ", an action program aimed at people, the planet and prosperity, signed in September 2015 by the Governments of the 193 UN member countries. It includes 17 Development Goals Sustainable - Sustainable Development Goals, SDGS - in a broad action program for a total of 169 targets. Cantina Pizzolato, after a process of reflection and internal analysis, has therefore declined these objectives into corporate commitments from which a whole series of concrete actions that the company has undertaken to carry out, providing for each specific time frame and precise result indicators.

Promotion of organic and vegan agriculture, absolute ban on the use of synthetic chemicals, installation of a biological wastewater purifier that allows purified and filtered water to be returned to the soil that allows 100% reuse. Important commitments were made in the countryside in the field of research on PIWI vines (vines resistant to fungal diseases), in relation to the choice of materials for the production of the labels, and on the creation of the M-use bottle, the Multi-Use lightweight glass bottle. designed not to be thrown away but instead reused as a design object and more. Pizzolato's commitment therefore goes from production to distribution - just think that the journey of the bottles destined for the Swedish market takes place entirely by rail, reducing the environmental impact of the journey by 70% - up to the packaging and reuse of the bottle. "A careful path with attention to detail - explains Settimo Pizzolato - because even the single choice counts in order to arrive as soon as possible at the corporate vision that Pizzolato pursues with conviction". A path of responsibility the one chosen by the Treviso winery which today takes on an even greater value in the context of the health crisis we are going through. "Our Social Report - explains Settimo Pizzolato - is the result of concerted action and a shared commitment between all the actors that revolve around our world: employees and collaborators, customers and suppliers as well as the associations that work with us and our side for years. My heartfelt thanks go to all of them in the hope that the important commitments we have undertaken with this tool may represent small drops for the realization day after day of a more sustainable world.
