The Rondine su Produzioni dal Basso network is born to support the social innovation projects of the young people of the Citadel of Peace

Thanks to the partnership between Rondine Cittadella della Pace and Produzioni dal Basso - the first Italian crowdfunding and social innovation platform - more and more young people will be able to make a concrete contribution to address the conflicts in Italian territories by contributing to the development of their local communities. Rondine Cittadella della Pace every year trains young Italians and from all over the world so that they can contribute to the creative transformation of conflicts. From today, thanks to the Rondine Cittadella della Pace Network, it will be possible to help these young people to build their social innovation projects.

Young peace leaders who can become agents of change to generate positive impact and contribute to the construction of a planet free from armed clashes, in which each person has the tools to learn to live in conflict and transform it in a positive way.

There are 150 young Italians who trained in Rondine - who work alongside young internationals from war contexts - and today they are ready to carry out their projects and return to their territories throughout Italy, what they have acquired in Rondine thanks to its innovative "Method for the creative transformation of conflict" .

A long journey of study personal and professional growth that saw them first students in the Fourth Year High School of Excellence in Rondine in the Citadel of Peace, an intercultural school experience that allowed them to focus on their potential and acquire a global vision thanks to the daily confrontation with the young people of the World House from places of conflict all over the world who accept the challenge of living with their enemy and forming themselves as peace leaders. Later, thanks to the Itaca Project, they were able to develop skills on social planning and became a real network of changemakers, capable of creating human and professional relationships and generating change. A network where dreams and ideas are transformed into concrete projects.

Brilliant young people but with a professionalism that is already focused and oriented towards growing local communities throughout Italy, with a view to sustainable development that puts the person and the relationship back at the center. Seven projects developed in 2020 and now three other startups are at the starting line - selected from the many projects under development - which, thanks to the crowdfunding structured with Produzioni dal Basso, will be able to intercept the many social problems that cross the peninsula, from Trentino from Tuscany to Molise . Environmental sustainability, training, culture, active citizenship, innovation, social cohesion: these are just some of the issues addressed by the proposed projects.

The three selected projects . The first project already active for a year is L'angolo di Apollo , developed by a group of three young women from Pistoia who have created a physical and virtual meeting and training space to respond to the lack of meeting places dedicated to young people. Today Apollo's corner looks at the school proposing "US - Scholastic humanism" a project that aims to heal and develop intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships in the schools of Pistoia through a workshop and meetings that will address current issues such as environment , media communication and interiority.

From Trentino, on the other hand, Polieticus was born, a residential campus on sociopolitical issues, which will take place in Trento from 22 to 29 August 2021 also in this case in the third edition. The recipients of the project are local boys and girls aged between 16 and 20 years. Each day on campus is dedicated to a different topical issue, such as migration, gender stereotypes, human rights and much more. The project aims to create a space for discussion and training for young people, in which the adults of tomorrow can learn to analyze reality with a critical and careful eye. "

Finally, from Molise StayRadioSerini, a Web Radio founded by Giacomo and Matteo Serini, two cousins who, during the first lockdown of 2020, decided to rediscover the beauty of positive information and music to spread a feeling of joy in their viewers. After the first two seasons, they decided to give life to "The Third Seasons no longer exist" for a program that looks at the enhancement of the region and the young people of the area. Their motto: "Musica in Festa per l'Informazione"!

A transversal work that will also involve many other local and national realities and counting on many collaborations both at an institutional level and in civil society to ensure the sustainability of the projects over time and their effectiveness.
