The water bomb that hit the hills of Florence on 19th September put at risk the production of Vin Santo.
«The harvest of this year – the agronomist Alessandro Matteoli explains – was not easy: the grapes were healthy, although the rainfall and the vagaries of the weather had not helped. But then, a real hail storm struck our vineyards: the harvest was still going on, and not to disappoint the expectations of those who know the quality of our wines, we decided to give up the production of Carmignano Riserva and Vin Santo». «It has been a difficult and painful decision – Annabella Pascale, CEO of the company, comments – but we consider it a sign of seriousness and respect for the consumer».
