The director of the Santa Croce Winery in Carpi, Villiam Friggeri, was suddenly taken ill and passed away.
A sudden illness took away Villiam Friggeri, famous oenologist of Reggio Emilia, for a long time director of the Santa Croce Winery in Carpi.
«He was OK. The night before he had gone to rest without expressing anything in particular. It has been a sudden, unexpected death», one of his sons said. Villiam Friggeri had made of passion for oenology his true profession. He had worked at Cantine Riunite in Correggio, but since 1988 it had been oenologist at the Winery of Carpi, where he had become the director.
