The latest from the Turin Vermouth Consortium

The Turin Vermouth Consortium is still growing, communicating the new members and constantly increasing production volumes for the denomination it protects and represents

Vermouth di Torino continues to record the positive trend that began in 2018. In the five years leading up to the beginning of 2023, production volumes have more than doubled, reaching 4.4 million litres, with an average annual increase of 23 % . It is a clear sign of the strong interest that this fragrant aromatised wine, symbol of the aperitif, is enjoying. The number of members of the Consortium is on the increase, with significant new entries: Antica Casa Vinicola Scarpa, Bosca-Cora, Distilleria F.lli Revel Chion, Isolabella della Croce, Mancino Vermouth, Opificio Gaio - Karminia. This brings the number of members registered in the Consortium to 34, which thus becomes even more representative of this Protected Geographical Indication. Vermouth di Torino PGI is in fact the only vermouth that can boast the PGI, thanks to its deep territorial roots linked to Piedmont from where it has spread throughout the world in the last three hundred years. The members of the Consortium market it today in 82 countries on five continents. There are many interesting upcoming initiatives to enhance it and make it known. On a national level, the presence at Vinitaly and at the Mixology Experience in Milan is planned. From 26 June the Vermouth Week in Turin will return to many very popular venues throughout Italy and the world, with special menus, tastings and food and wine initiatives to discover the White, Rosé, Red, Ambrato, Dry and Extra dry types produced by the Consortium Members . As an important symbol of Turin excellence, it is the protagonist of ExtraVermouth, the experiential format organized in collaboration with TurismoTorino in the best bars in Turin. It will also be present abroad this year with various promotional initiatives on the markets of the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom . The Consortium is also the project leader of the Mediterranean Aperitivo: a single concept that combines four traditions in an irresistible Mediterranean aperitif linked to the Mediterranean diet: Vermouth di Torino, Lemons from the Amalfi Coast, Greek Olives, Pecorino Toscano . All valuable products that come from suitable territories and with certified European quality systems. "It's always time for Turin Vermouth"
