The Laimburg Center studies everything about Gewürztraminer

The experts of the Laimburg Centre for experimentation presented the results of their research on various aspects of the quality of wine and on new winemaking practices of Gewürztraminer in South Tyrol.

The research results have proven that the Gewürztraminer wines from different soils – the morainic ones and those of limestone debris – result to be similar also in sensory analysis. In a similar way, the analysis have not revealed any clear differences between the traditional sites of Gewürztraminer in Termeno and other sites, although the classic ones tend to be advantaged in the quality of wine.
