The International Conference on Wine Tourism is starting: here is Italy!

Today the fourth edition of the International Wine Tourism Conference & Workshop - International Conference on Wine Tourism, conceived by Wine Pleasure of Barcelona and, for this edition organized by the Italian Wine Tourism Movement, has started in Perugia.

Until February 2nd there will be: tastings, press tours, case histories from all over the world, workshops for more than 300 professionals, including tour operators, companies, journalists, bloggers and wine tourism players from 40 countries.



Some samples of the Italian participation in the prestigious international event:


- among the tastings scheduled: Italy Grand Tasting, by the 'Master of Wine', Jane Hunt, MTV Umbria dessert wine tasting, Croatia and Umbria themed dinners.

- "Franciacorta and Garda: a different look in the Brescia wine scene" (January 31) will speak Antonio Grimaldi (Vinando Tour, Italy),

- focus on territories with educational tours dedicated to tour operators and journalists to learn about the excellences of Tuscany, Marche, Campania and Umbria.

- "Roads of Wine of Friuli Venezia Giulia" (January 31) will be at the center of the speech by Chiara Tuppy (Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli)

- Dario Cartabellotta, general director of the Regional Institute of Vine and Wine, and Asel Beisembayeva (Fcs Srl, Winecode® project) will talk about Sicily in the speech "Your digital guide to discover Sicilian wines" (February 1),

- the Puglia Wine Tourism Movement, in collaboration with the Department of Agri-Food Resources of the Puglia Region and Unioncamere Puglia, will be the protagonist with activities for the enhancement of the territory and the regional wine sector, and for the increase of tourism flows wine: constant information supervision, two moments of tasting of typical Apulian products. today 30 January, a lunch organized by Pietro Zito dedicated to about 200 guests including journalists and delegates; tomorrow 31 January the "Whole Puglia" tasting, reserved for the Apulian wines of the member companies of the Puglia Wine Tourism Movement.
