From the seminars held by the Italian Sommelier Association, to the Cirò Wine Festival which had Luca Gardini among the masterclass speakers, to the conferences held during Vinitaly, the year 2023 was dotted with moments that highlighted the importance of this denomination which is making great strides forward. The Public Assessment and Publication in the Official Journal of the DOCG recognition for Cirò Rosso Riserva, the rising star of the Denomination, has also recently arrived, which represents a key step for the Denomination, making it even more competitive on the market. “ A year full of satisfactions, but also challenges for our producers, in particular the management of the vineyard and the harvest were delicate moments, which required constant commitment in the field to bring home a quality product. We are very happy with the work carried out, which allowed us to protect the harvest and align ourselves with the national wine-growing situation. We as a Consortium have tried to raise the perception of our wines and our wine-growing areas, and we will also focus on this in the coming years, organizing events and conferences aimed at enhancing our wine heritage. With pleasure, compared to 2022, we have recorded an increase in food and wine tourism, which increasingly wants to discover the tradition and culinary and oenological value of our land ” – states Raffaele Librandi, President of the Consortium.
