Sustainable agriculture and conscious nutrition in the desire to create a network between producers and consumers. Everything is ready for "Fresco e Prezioso", the taste experience from the farm to the pantry scheduled for next September 7th in Grottaglie (6pm at the Blasi farm). A real culinary journey through local excellence to encourage the consumption of seasonal products and, at the same time, discover the charm of preserves.

Starting from the bottom and in a participatory manner, the aim is to create a socio-economic model capable of satisfying the principles of civic agriculture and the solidarity economy through innovative production and distribution systems, based on sustainable practices.

The mayor of Grottaglie, Ciro D'Alò, Carmen Valente as president of Asset Network and Andrea Marulli, project manager, will take part in the evening. Then there will be interventions by Enza Tomaselli who will talk about the importance of a healthy diet and by Nunzia Di Giacomo on the valorisation of typical products. Nutritionist biologist Orazio Motolese has the task of in-depth analysis on the choice of fresh and sustainable products. The event program also includes a visit to the Blasi farm, to discover its organic and regenerative agriculture methods, and the tasting of local products. There will be moments of entertainment with DiscoverArt and the participation of the actor Giuseppe Calamunci Manitta.

The initiative, already sold out, is part of the Civitas Cibi project, financed by the Puglia Region - Puglia Social Capital 3.0 Notice. «It all arises – they explain – from the need to bring together supply and demand of local agricultural goods, with the aim of satisfying the consumer's right to healthy, sustainable, 0 km food and at affordable prices». In addition to the Blasi farm, the associations Legambiente Maruggio, Beni comune, Vivi la natura and the beekeeping company Le api di Gemma collaborate on the project.

The final objective is to structure a participatory guarantee system (PGS) that represents an alternative to organic certification. In this way, the consumer becomes an active part of the production process, within a relationship of trust with the producer.
