Success for the third Gran Fondo of Gallo Nero, Francesco Cecchini wins

Over 700 registered for the Gran Fondo of Gallo Nero. Francesco Cecchini wins at the photo finish. The award is the equivalent of his weight in bottles of Chianti Classico.


 The third edition of the Gran Fondo of Gallo Nero has been concluded, the bicycle race created and organized by the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium in collaboration with the Chianti Classico Company. Highly successful were the numbers of this year, which recorded 40% more subscribers than last year. All participants wore the famous shirt of Gallo Nero that along with other gadgets was part of an "exclusive" goody bag included in the participation fee.

The winner of the long route was Francesco Cecchini who traveled the 135 km in just three hours, 48 minutes, 10 seconds. Right Cecchini received the first prize that characterizes the Gran Fondo of Gallo Nero: the weight of the winner of the race in wine.
