Silvano Nicolato new president of Vitevis

After 11 years as deputy, Silvano Nicolato is today appointed president of the agricultural cooperative Vitevis , based in Montecchio Maggiore (VI), supported by Matteo Lovato and Alessandro Bianchi as deputy . Luciano Arimini leaves his post, whom Nicolato thanks for the great work done during his mandate. "One of our main objectives is the utmost care in the management of the vineyard , which we believe is the basis for obtaining a quality finished product " says the new president, and continues "in 2018 we obtained the SQNPI certification (National Quality System for Integrated Production). , recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, for the integrated defense techniques used to preserve natural resources for future generations. We intend to proceed along this path ”. Vitevis is a very dynamic reality: born only five years ago from the union of the Colli Vicentini , Gambellara and Val Leogra wineries , in 2019 it also welcomed the Cantina di Castelnuovo del Garda into the family. Its vineyards extend over an area of approximately 2,800 hectares , from Lake Garda to Lessinia, from Valpolicella to Soave, up to the Berici and Gambellara hills. Its wide wine proposal includes 49 denominations : from Asolo Prosecco DOCG to the classic Veronese wines of tradition - Amarone, Ripasso Lugana - without neglecting wines such as Soave, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Bardolino, Custoza and much more.
