In Tuscany, Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo has been present for several decades: the first acquisition goes back to 1993 with Lamole di Lamole, in Chianti Classico – 177 hectares, of which 57 of vineyards and 4 olive groves – to which in 2002 Sassoregale, in Maremma, an estate of 38 hectares, of which 30 of vineyards was added.
Santa Margherita Gruppo Vinicolo now owns wineries and vineyards in some of the best and most suitable Italian terroirs: the Eastern Veneto, the hills of Conegliano–Valdobbiadene, Alto Adige, Lombardy with Franciacorta, Tuscany with Chianti Classico and the Maremma, Sicily. Innovation skills, management structure, technological development, quality, environmental and social sustainability, represent its distinctive features, and at the center of daily life there are two key points: the vineyard and men.
