«I think it is right that a video or, alternatively, a written message from the Ukrainian President Zelensky be broadcast at the Sanremo Festival because there is a need to raise public awareness. Too many people question the decision to send arms and do not realize what is happening there: deaths and destruction are real and if we don't give our support the situation could only worsen to the point that Ukraine would become a country more democratic, as it is now trying to become. Communication often contains half-truths and is so fast that often even the most tragic news becomes routine and is forgotten too quickly. Sanremo is therefore a good opportunity to remind all those people who have forgotten about tragedy and truth; the others can change the channel. I also want to remind you that for us the Ukrainian market, beyond the human tragedy, represented almost €1 million in turnover in 2021, which obviously disintegrated with the war, as with the invasion of Crimea, where our turnover it was €250,000 and disappeared well before the war, mired in bureaucracy and sanctions». This was stated by Sandro Bottega, owner of the homonymous company in Bibano (Treviso) , one of the main producers of Italian wine and spirits and creator of the "Prosecco Bars" that are depopulating all over the world, the last of which opened on 31 January at Istanbul airport.
