Still declines, sparkling wines are saved

The first quarter in large-scale distribution for wine closes with a negative balance. In terms of volume, according to the data processed by the UIV Observatory and Ismea on a NielsenIQ basis, the general drop is 6% (1.8 million hectoliters, the lowest figure since 2019, when travel was close to 2 million), of which -7% for still wines and 4% for sparkling wines, against average prices with a generalized increase of 9%, with 8% for still wines and 6% for bubbles.
