"Rubino": the wine and the territory absolute protagonists in Scicli

It ended with the awarding of prizes to the wineries, the third edition of "Rubino" that over the weekend in Scicli made the wine and the territory absolute protagonists.

SCICLI (RG) – Conclusion of the "Rubino" event promoted in Scicli by SEM ? Spazi Espressivi Monumentali. Last night the ceremony of delivery of the "Rubino Award", awarded by the jury composed of sommeliers Camillo Privitera and Lorenzo Giannone and chef Emanuele Di Stefano for the oenological aspects, and some components of SEM for graphics. For the category "Young wines", the award was won by the Barone Montalto winery for the wine called Ammasso, for the" Red wines in evolution" category, the award went to the Marilina company for the Marilina Eloro Doc Reserve wine. The Ammasso wine also won the "Best label" award for its graphics. The award was one of the novelties of this third edition of "Rubino" who always saw the presence of wine enthusiasts, visitors and many tourists, many foreigners, visiting the city and ready to discover the routes recommended by the organization. For this third edition it was chosen to enhance and raise awareness of some historical buildings in Scicli, belonging to private individuals, which have opened their doors welcoming visitors and the wine cellars, favoring occasions of meeting, hosting some of the planned events, from wine & cooking show to conferences, from the lessons with the sommeliers to wine tastings, from artistic performances to the photo exhibition on the harvest. Much appreciated the locations chosen: Bonelli–Patanè Palace, Favacchio Palace, Site Mill, Busacca Palace, Antica Farmacia Cartia, Caffè Letterario Brancati, but also businesses and restaurants that have participated in the event. Excellent attendance recorded at the weekend although the bad weather has limited the number of participants on Sunday. In any case, many of the events scheduled in the program of "Rubino" were sold out and gained wide popularity among the representatives of the various wineries present and especially among the public. Therefore, a positive balance for this third edition, which did not fail to highlight the healthy properties of wine, thanks to its high content of polyphenols that eliminate free radicals and protect your heart. Its consumption, of course, must always be moderate. But a glass of wine a day is also recommended.
