ROSE WINES COMPARED WITH TWO MASTERCLASSES WITH CHIARETTO DI BARDOLINO AND CERASUOLO D'ABRUZZO

The two tastings are scheduled for Sunday 11 October in Fermento Milano, the Fisar event during the Milan Wine Week

Two wines, two territories, one color: pink. Two masterclasses to discover the peculiarities of Chiaretto di Bardolino and Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo , to understand what they have in common and what differentiates the pale pink wine of Lake Garda Veronese from the Abruzzo one with the characteristic cherry color, the fruit from which it takes its name. The two tastings dedicated to Chiaretto di Bardolino and Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo will take place on Sunday 11 October in the Sala degli Affreschi dei Chiostri di San Barnaba, in Milan, during Fermento Milano , the event organized by FISAR on the occasion of the Milan Wine Week. The first masterclass, The 2019 vintage according to Chiaretto di Bardolino and Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo , is scheduled for 6.30 pm and will focus on the latest vintage of the two pink wines. Six wines in all for tasting: three Chiaretto di Bardolino (Vineyards Villabella Bardolino Chiaretto Classico 2019, Valetti Bardolino Chiaretto Classico 2019, Giovanna Tantini Bardolino Chiaretto 2019) and three Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo (Wine Code Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Solante 2019, Nic Tartaglia Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo 2019, De Antoniis Adele Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Sassello 2019). Chiaretto di Bardolino and Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo: vertical compared is the name of the second masterclass, scheduled at 20.30: in this case the last three vintages of the two wines will be compared, in order to better understand the aging process. The Chiaretto di Bardolino for tasting will be Poggio delle Grazie Bardolino Chiaretto 2015, Tenuta La Presa Bardolino Chiaretto 2017, Gentili Bardolino Chiaretto 2018, Strappelli Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Superiore Colle Trà 2015, Castorani Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Amorino 2017 and Rapino Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Francesco Paolo Tosti 2018. Both tastings will be led by Angelo Peretti for the Consortium for the protection of Chiaretto and Bardolino , and by Davide Acerra for the Consorzio di Tutela Vini d'Abruzzo . The cost of the masterclasses is 30 euros, with the possibility of participating in the tasting also online, by sending the tasting kit. In addition to the two tastings, the personal sommelier service will be available at the Enoteca di Fermento Milano, located inside the Chiostro dei Pesci: it is possible to buy, at a cost of 15 euros, a one-hour time slot with a FISAR sommelier . Each Sommelier will have a dedicated area where they can accommodate a limited number of people. In the Fisar Enoteca it will be possible to taste a selection of fifteen Chiaretto di Bardolino and fifteen Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo.
