On 22nd and 23rd November, the first edition of "Marzemini e Vini Passiti" ("Marzemino and Raisin Wines") will take place in Refrontolo, in the Province of Treviso.
Right the Refrontolo Municipality, in collaboration with the Pro Loco, the Consortium for the Protection of Colli di Conegliano DOCG and the Cities of Wine National Association, has organized, for 22nd and 23rd November 2014, the first edition of the National Exhibition of Marzemino and Raisin Wines.
The idea comes from an intuition of the mayor Loredana Collodel who wanted to enhance a product of excellence in the area of Refrontolo. «With this initiative – Mayor Collodel says – we want to show that we do not give up. Our territory has enormous potential that is largely represented by the wine production of excellence; Refrontolo Passito is our identity, our history, is part of our environment, our landscape, our culture and our economy».
«In our Region there were not initiatives of development for these types of valuable niche wines», the President of the Consortium for the Protection of Colli di Conegliano DOCG, Sante Toffoli, comments. The Exhibition will take place at the Barchessa of Villa Spada.
