Red wine seems to have good results against dental caries. To say it, a survey of the Spanish National Research Council
Published in the
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry magazine, a Spanish survey stating that dental problems are created when bacteria in the mouth form the so–called biofilms, to say, real communities difficult to eradicate. The biofilms produce plaque and acids that begin to damage your teeth.
The polyphenols, contained in wine and in grape seeds, slow down the growth of bacteria.
How did they come to this conclusion?
The team of Dr. Maria Victoria Moreno–Arribas created biofilms consisting of bacteria harmful to your dental health and dipped them into compounds of red wine and water with 12 percent ethanol. The result was that wine, in all its forms, was proved to be effective in disintegrating bacteria.
