POST-EVENT - NATIONAL AMBASSADORS AWARD | COMMUNITALIANS & AMBASSADORS OF EXCELLENCE - 19 OCTOBER 2023 - CHAPTER ROOM | Rome

The National Ambassadors Award was presented yesterday in Rome , established by the national association Liber , chaired by Dr. Verdiana Dell'Anna , who with this initiative recognizes the merit of Italian municipalities, businesses and bodies capable of significantly impacting the well-being of their respective community, protagonists of the prestigious volume ComunItaliani & Ambasciatori d'Eccellenza from the RDE Publishing House of Riccardo Dell'Anna .

Bagno di Romagna (Fc) , Capoterra (Ca), Dozza (Bo), Enna , Narni (Tr) are the five awarded municipalities. Among the companies and institutions, the recognition went to the Chamber of Commerce of Cosenza , Eurpack of Aprilia (Lt), the Archaeological Park of Gela (Cl), the VOG Consortium of Terlano (Bz) and the Trieste Marine Terminal .

The awards ceremony was held in the Chapter Room of the Senate as part of a larger celebratory event, organized in collaboration with the publishing house Rde , in the presence of the mayors and representatives of the awarded entities. The initiative was also the occasion of a round table on the future of Italian excellence, attended by important national figures.

The event, hosted by the journalist and face of Rai Eleonora Daniele , saw the patronage of the Senate of the Republic , the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and numerous other ministries and institutions.

The National Ambassadors Award is supervised by an authoritative Honorary Committee , chaired by the Attorney General of the Court of Auditors, Angelo Canale .

The case histories of the Municipalities are all of notable social impact rewarded.

Bagno di Romagna valorisation of the tourist excellence of the entire valley, creating thermal, historical and naturalistic itineraries of considerable interest for visitors.

Capoterra won for having established the role of the "School Nurse", responsible for assisting diabetic children during school hours, aimed at glycemic control and insulin administration.

The social program " Dozza con te" earned the award for the citizen of Bologna, who created a Register of Municipal Volunteers and implemented the project "And we with you", for social-welfare help for the elderly and disabled.

The Municipality of Enna was awarded for having created the Museum of Myth, through the recovery of an old abandoned stable and the valorisation of the nearby environmental and cultural assets: the Cerere fortress, the Lombardy Castle and the archaeological area.

In Narni the prize was awarded for the creation of the “San Crispino” Refuge Park, aimed at the well-being of pet animals and the center of numerous initiatives, including pet therapy, horticultural therapy and some experimental projects with Enea.

These are the reasons for the awards given to organizations and companies.

Cosenza Chamber of Commerce , for the results achieved in the innovation of processes, tools and organisation.

Eurpack , for its commitment to the environment, demonstrated with the “Bosco D'Impresa” project and with the recovery of pallet wrapping plastic.

Gela Archaeological Park , for having planned actions aimed at integrating the archaeological heritage and underutilized territorial resources into a single valorization plan.

Trieste Marine Terminal, for sustainability policies, referring to the advancement of railway services, the electrification of ships and the computerization of processes.

VOG Consortium , for the valorisation of the South Tyrolean apple sector, through branding policies based on the values of origin, expertise , sustainability and quality.

During yesterday's ceremony, the " Ambassador of the Territory " recognition was also awarded to all 57 Municipalities and 16 organizations and businesses, selected by the Observatory of Italian Excellence of Rde to be protagonists of the prestigious volume ComunItaliani & Ambasciatori d'Eccellenza , forthcoming
