A reality located in the cradle of the highest winemaking tradition in Friuli, the Pighin Company brings its new flagship wine on the market , a Bianco Collio Doc 2018 obtained from an accurate vinification of Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia and Friulano grapes . "The choice of the Soreli grapes - says Roberto Pighin , owner of the company - was dictated by the experience we have gained over time in the vinification of these indigenous varieties. Friulano grapes give Soreli personality and structure, while the grapes of Malvasia and Ribolla Gialla give the wine freshness and aromatic complexity. In order to preserve the varietal characteristics, we have chosen to vinify a part of the grapes in steel and a part in tonnaux and barrique to give more personality, body, structure and durability to this wine. "Hence the company's choice to use the Diam 10 stopper as a closure, precisely in the idea that the Soreli will be characterized by longevity and evolution over time.

The new Soreli Bianco Collio Doc, vintage 2018, of the Pighin family is a wine destined to rise rapidly in the ranking of the top wines of the Friuli company but his is a fascinating story that comes from afar. During the 1980s, in fact, Fernando Pighin, owner of the company, began exporting wines to Germany, soon becoming the first Italian producer to supply the Lufthansa company. It was then in fact that Soreli, always a Bianco Collio and Pinot Grigio Collio Doc signed Pighin, became the first Italian white wines to be served to customers of the first class of the German flag company of its history. A wine that is at the same time a déjà-vu, a reference to the past, but with a completely new production and oenological history, the result of the great experience that the winery has developed in these years and the extraordinary terroir from which this wine is born.
