Central aspects in the activities that the complex and articulated three-year project "Nice to Eat-EU", promoted by the Consortium for the protection of Piave PDO cheese and co-financed by the European Union, is responsible for organizing and implementing in every single detail, in particularly in countries such as Italy, Austria and Germany.

Piave PDO, award-winning in Italy and in Europe, arrives on the festive tables with a secret weapon: its unique flavor that puts everyone in agreement. It is in fact a healthy, genuine and nutritious cheese appreciated by the most demanding and expert palates and at the same time tasty for the little ones, both in its younger variants and in the more intense Gold Selection.

Piave DOP offers the consumer 5 references to choose from, all strictly DOP.

The five protagonists are distinguished by the aging times: from 20 to 60 days for the Fresco, from 61 to 180 for the Mezzano, over 180 days for the Vecchio, over 12 months for the Vecchio Selezione Oro and over 18 months for the Riserva. .

The entire production derives from milk that comes exclusively from the province of Belluno and is produced, at least for 80%, by cattle breeds typical of the production area: the Italian Brown, the Italian Red Pezzata, the Italian Frisona and the Grigio Alpina.

Piave DOP is ideal in the preparation of appetizers, first courses and second courses and in combination with wine, honey and jams. A real all-round product on tables all over Europe, perfect for introducing lunches and dinners, at the end of a meal, or as a gift to be placed in traditional gift baskets. It is recommended to take it out of the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before serving, to allow it to "breathe" and reach the optimal temperature to be tasted.
