New sustainable Winery: LE MORETTE

In San Benedetto di Lugana the new and modern structure of the Zenato family has been inaugurated. The Winery Le Morette is now perfectly integrated with the environment and is energetically self-sufficient.

The Valerio Zenato family has inaugurated the new seat of the Agricultural Company Le Morette. The building is completely environmentally sustainable: its construction characteristics (materials and fixtures used) make the structure very efficient in terms of energy, while a powerful photovoltaic system guarantees an almost total self-sufficiency.

The finishes are on natural and traditional materials of the territory, Lessinia stone and clay bricks, the production spaces are placed in the underground levels, where grapes are processed with gravitational fall.

Near the winery there is a nursery for the production of rooted cuttings where the Zenato family continues to provide incentives for research and experimentation on the Turbiana variety.

“To our family - Fabio Zenato, owner with his brother Paolo, explains - this new site represents a point of arrival, a culmination of the sacrifices and dedication to work of my grandfather and my father. But at the same time, for us it is a starting point: spaces and technologies capable of fostering the growth of our company”.
