Moscato: the agreement for the year 2012 was signed

On the 24th of August, the Muscat wine world found its proper use: farms, sparkling wine wineries, wine makers and trade associations signed the agreement of the 2012 campaign for the White Muscat grapes for the production of Asti and Moscato d'Asti DOCG.

The grapes will cost € 106.50 Euro before - tax + VAT per ton. The yield per hectare is permitted up to 108 tons of grapes per hectare corresponding to 81 hectoliters per hectare. The Councillor for Agriculture of the Piedmont Region Claudio Sacchetto emphasized how the profitability for wine growers resutled this year with a + 5% on last year.
