Mipaaf: the new CRA Board, 32 calls for research in agro-food

New Board of Directors of the Council for Research and Experimentation in Agriculture. The new Board of Directors of the organization consists of: Cra-President Giuseppe Alonzo, -Prof. Francesco Adornato (Dean of the Faculty of Political Science, University of Macerata), -Prof. Salvatore Tudisca (Professor of Economics and Rural Valuation at the University of Palermo) -Dr. Rita Clementi (researcher in medical genetics). The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Mario Catania attending the inauguration of the (CRA) and stated that: "Scientific research in agriculture can and must play an important role, by supporting farmers in a process of renewal and providing them with tools to address the difficulties caused by the consequences of climate change in this sector . I am convinced that the CRA in this sense can and must play a central role, building a relationship and an ever closer dialogue with the world of work and organizations in the sector and giving fresh impetus to research in agriculture. Precisely in this sense I want to emphasize the importance of the competition launched last August by the CRA for the award of 32 research grants. An important sign of the attention by this Ministry to innovation in the sector on all fronts. " The CRA has launched four tenders for the award of 32 research grants, at a cost of 1.4 million euro, on the following topics: -Crop production and biotechnology, -Science of animal products, -Agro-industrial -Forestry production and the environment.
