From 17 October the DOCG area of Prosecco Superiore Conegliano Valdobbiadene overcomes the “sound barrier”. Graziano Merotto , wine artisan owner of the homonymous company in Col San Martino, has decided to make the winery accessible not only to those with motor disabilities but also to the deaf thanks to the collaboration with Chiara Sipione, interpreter of the ANIOS Association, National Association of Interpreters Sign Language.
On October 17, the first visit to the vineyard and cellar was held for the deaf, translated by Chiara Sipione.
<< Prosecco Superiore is the "wine of welcome" and, as such, our commitment is to welcome anyone who wishes to get closer to our splendid hills. - They claim in the company . - With this spirit, the beautiful collaboration with Chiara Sipione was born and the visit was exciting for us too. >> With the success of this first meeting, Merotto demonstrates once again how wine can support and promote social, solidarity and inclusive causes, opening the winery from now on also to people with hearing disabilities.
On the eve of the fiftieth anniversary of activity, Graziano Merotto preserves all the knowledge and values of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area. In addition to the winemaking cellar and vineyards kept as gardens, the company offers the Merotto Space, home of Prosecco Superiore immersed in the rows of heroic vineyards of Col San Martino. A place that is always open to the visitor and now truly accessible to everyone.
