Angela Merkel prefers wine to beer, this emerged on the sidelines of a rally in Bad Koestritz. The Chancellor said she preferably drink a glass of wine: "I drink beer just in case after a walk in the mountains". At the end of the meeting, the Chancellor is offered a glass of dark beer: Merkel tasted a sip and then turned the glass to a CDU candidate standing next to her.
