Communication, network and sustainability are the 3 levers on which ASSICA focuses to inform the consumer and www.trustyourtaste.eu is the new portal that represents its most modern and European face. The Industrial Association of Meat and Cured Meats (ASSICA ), which is a member of Confindustria, is aimed directly at users, to give evidence of the evolution that the sector has made in recent years to offer products closer to the needs of today's consumer. . A qualitative growth that is still little perceived. Under the leadership of the new president Ruggero Lenti, ASSICA has recently launched the " Trust Your Taste, CHOOSE EUROPEAN QUALITY " project, supported by the European Union, which sees the web as the most important tool. After all, with a population that spends 6 hours a day on the internet and almost 2 hours on social networks, these are in effect the privileged channels for informing Italians, including on food-related issues.

The portal is structured as a constantly updated blog, with a section specifically dedicated to consumers and one to the operators of the supply chain . For citizens, the small tips & tricks as well as the section "know what you eat", dedicated to debunking many of the clichés and prejudices surrounding cured meats and pork in general, are particularly useful. "Nothing is thrown away from pork" is instead the space expressly dedicated to enhancing and making known even the lesser known or precious cuts , giving value to traditional recipes and educating consumers to a more ethical, sustainable cuisine and to contrast waste. food . "Did you know that" helps to clarify and give a more complete and correct vision of the sector.

Social

With YouTube, Facebook and Instagram , the project covers the top 3 social networks by popularity and circulation in Italy (respectively used by 85.3%, 80.4% and 67% of Internet users aged 16 to 64). The social networks will be used in an integrated manner with the site, to ensure the completeness and timeliness of the information, as well as to stimulate the curiosity and interest of foodlovers with recipes, advice and content dedicated to the community.

"Trust Your Taste, CHOOSE EUROPEAN QUALITY" is the project promoted by ASSICA with the aim of improving the level of knowledge and conscious consumption of EU agricultural products, through the promotion of the production culture of pork and cured meats, enhancing high standards European countries and the great historical tradition that distinguishes this sector. The project has a three-year duration (2021-2024), takes place in Italy and Belgium and benefits from co-financing by the European Commission under Regulation (EU) 1144/2014 (Information and promotion actions regarding agricultural products on the market indoor).

ASSICA, the Industrial Association of Meat and Cured Meats , is the national trade organization which, within the Confindustria, represents pig slaughtering and processing companies. Within the framework of its institutional purposes, ASSICA's activity covers various areas, including the definition of a sectoral economic policy, information and assistance service to approximately 180 associates in the economic / commercial, health, regulatory and legal fields. and trade union. Competence, collaborative attitude and professional reliability are guaranteed by specialized collaborators and supported by participation in various association organizations, both at national and community level. In fact, since its establishment in 1946, ASSICA has always stood out for its strong associative spirit, as evidenced by its quality as a member of Confindustria, to which it has wanted to join since its birth, of Federalimentare, the Italian Federation of Food Industries, he is a founding member of Clitravi, the European Federation that brings together the national associations of the meat processing industries, which he helped found in 1957.
