Massimo D'Alema winemaker

The world of wine has a new producer: the former president of the Council, left the direct political commitments, now is officially a winemaker.

Massimo D'Alema illustrated the work for his first wine during the presentation in Rome of the wine project ''Wine Research Team", of which the company of Massimo D'Alema is part.

The "Wine Research Team" is a project commissioned and implemented by the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella at the head of a scientific team of the University of Tuscia in Viterbo, which also aims to produce high quality wines without sulfur and durable, after an experimental research in the vineyard and in the cellar that lasted 8 years.

The former president of the Council, instead, will produce cabernet franc, an international grape variety: his first label will be "Sfide" (Challenges) and is produced in three thousand bottles from grapes grown in La Madeleine, the estate he purchased in 2009 in Umbria.
