The CE.PA.M, a cultural association based in the birthplace of the writer Cesare
Pavese, organized the 11th edition of the Literary Award dedicated to wine, a distinctive element of the culture of the place and the recovery of the landscape and therefore of authenticity.
Here are the winners of the three sections: fiction, non-fiction and poetry with the motivations of the jury
Unpublished fiction
1st prize: Father Pierpaolo Ruffinengo, Calosso d'Asti, Konrad and the red horse.
The beautiful Greek with black eyes and the Inquisitor's Muscat (story of "Lacrima
fratris ")
Short and intense story, which traces the salient features, between history and legend, the
events of an ancient and noble wine. The annotations relating to the label are interesting
main and secondary.
Pleasant style of which one appreciates the articulation and the pressing rhythm.
Unpublished non-fiction
1st prize: Marino Boaglio, Pinerolo, Proteo in the cellar. De Amicis and the effects
some wine
Broad and articulated essay, which reveals less known aspects, and therefore more
interesting, of literary history, which also opens to that of mentality and
of social customs, starting from the reflections on a cycle of conferences held
by De Amicis on the theme of wine.
The essay is well articulated and cared for in the formal aspect and in the notes
bibliographic.
Unpublished poem
1st prize: Bruna Cerro, Savona, Here... where autumn
This poem develops a delicate naturalistic sketch
vivid on the connotative level, capable of evoking, with the creative lexicon and
musical, intense, deep situations and moods, where the real and the fantastic
they mix and dissolve in strong synaesthetic images.
