  • 30/12/2015

It is time to take stock of and also this year the "Decanter" UK Magazine compiles its ranking of last year dedicated to the best value for money tastings of wines from around the world. As many as two Italian wines in the Top 10.

Brunello di Montalcino 2010 of San Polo, winery of the Allegrini group is even in the "top 10" of the "Decanter 50 star buys" 2015.

The ranking speaks Australian a lot: the 1st ranked is the Heytesbury Chardonnay 2013 of Vasse Felix, a winery in the Margaret River region, followed by Shiraz–Viognier Murrumbateman 2013 of Clonakilla, from Canberra District. The third step of the podium is of Spain, with Clos Cypres 2013 of Costers del Priorat.

In the Top 50 there is not the only Brunello but also Barolo Fossati 2010 of Cascina Adelaide, Bolgheri Superiore 2011 of Castello di Bolgheri, Barbaresco Camp Gros Martinenga 2008 of Cisa Asinari Marchesi di Gresy, and Chianti Vigna delle Conchiglie Riserva 2011 of Poggiotondo.
