Brunello di Montalcino has entered the world of manga by Tadashi Agi and Shū Okimoto, author of "The Drops of God".
The manga tells the story of Shizuku Kanzakì, the son of a wine critic. Kanzakì is a teetotaler and at his father’s (Yutaka) death, he must compete with his adoptive brother Issei (who is a wine expert) for the assignment of a legacy represented by a collection of wines estimated at around 20 million dollars. Among the wines mentioned, many are Italians: Brunello di Montalcino 2005 of Poggio di Sotto, Barolo Cannubi Boschis 2001 by Luciano Sandrone, Barolo, always 2001, by Bruno Giacosa or Rosso di Miani.
