A 2024 agenda full of events for the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium which this year too will organize a series of important promotional events in Italy and around the world with the common objective of letting experts, sector journalists discover, enthusiasts and wine lovers, the thousand nuances of its wine production. “In planning the projects for the current year – explains Vitaliano Maccario, President of the Barbera d'Asti and Vini del Monferrato Consortium – we mainly involved the target countries of great interest for our territory, primarily the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden , Denmark, Germany, France and Italy as well as the UK, Switzerland, USA and Canada. There are many wine souls that find expression in Monferrato and the Consortium's objective, since its inception, has been to act as a glue between these multiplicities, to promote the entire territory and its excellence in a unified way abroad too" . A journey with a strong international flavor without forgetting the many events that will take place both in Italy and directly in the area where these extraordinary wines are born and produced. The Consortium's busy calendar of events reflects the dynamism and driving force of a constantly growing reality; over the years the number of members has increased until today there are 410 consortium companies for 13 denominations currently represented (4 Docg and 9 Doc ). “It promises to be a challenging year on the wine front and we are convinced – explains President Vitaliano – that our wines have further great potential on the various international markets in which we operate. We have always set up all our promotional activities in Italy and abroad driven by the commitment and desire to enhance the international visibility of local wines as well as transmit to our stakeholders around the world the richness of nuances and declinations that they can offer our wines. Animated by this spirit, this year too we have a dense program of events designed to give international visibility to local wines, appointments and initiatives which, involving enthusiasts, connoisseurs and oenologists from all over the world, will combine moments of information, seminars, masterclasses and exchange of knowledge.” Among the first events scheduled for the new year is the 10th anniversary of the Barbera Fish Festival which will take place in Oslo on March 15th during which walk around tastings will be held with participating companies and a masterclass dedicated to Barbera d'Asti Docg aimed at sector operators. Also in the month of March, on the 18th and 19th , in collaboration with the Piedmont Wine Consortium, two events will take place in Amsterdam and the second in Antwerp . On this occasion the participating companies will be present with their own tasting tables in order to propose their labels to the public present - operators, buyers, restaurateurs but also enthusiasts. Two different masterclasses will also take place over the course of the days, one on Barbera d'Asti Docg and one on Monferrato red wines. The Consortium's 2024 agenda does not only speak the language of internationality. There will also be numerous events that will take place in Italy starting from the Turin Wine Fair which will take place in the Piedmontese capital from 2 to 4 March . In this prestigious setting there will be an institutional area of the Consortium which will gather the tasting tables of the associated companies who will have their products tasted. In April the Consortium's wines will participate in the always eagerly awaited Vinitaly , a milestone in the Consortium's annual programme. From 14 to 17 April Verona is ready, in fact, to welcome experts and enthusiasts who will have the opportunity to meet the producers and taste the wines of the 13 denominations. “Vinitaly remains a fundamental place for the world of Italian wine – says President Vitaliano – and a significant stage to be exploited to present and debate important topics. A market to be cultivated with care both for the Consortium and for all the companies we represent" . A 2024 that will reserve many surprises, therefore, and a precious opportunity for a trip around the world to discover the wine heritage of the area
