Grassini: "The future? Wines less alcoholic "

  • 17/05/2012

"The era of corpulent wines would be over"

This is said by the well-known oenologist Graziana Grassini who has been involved in the 2009 harvest of Tenuta San Guido's Bolgheri Sassicaia. She claims that the market will be conquered by "easy to drink" wines, as she stated in her interview with CronacheDiGusto.it "For me Sassicaia is a woman (...). These are the characteristics that the consumers of tomorrow would require of wine, a route towards which Italian companies, especially those from Tuscany, should go. The era of portly wines would be over ". "Tuscany has great potential especially from the point of view of the grapes. But my colleagues should be waking up to catch up with the times. It is not necessary to reach high alcohol content and instead make wines easier to drink ".

Clearly this is an opinion, we want to know yours ...
