Grapperie Aperte 2013 is near

34 Italian distilleries open their doors on 6th October 2013

Grapperie Aperte: on Sunday, 6th October the promotional event organized by the Grappa National Institute for enhancing and promoting the Italian distillate also among non-experts begins.

The edition number ten will allow to discover the Italian distillate in conjunction with the typical food of its respective territories and each distillery will have the opportunity to interpret this combination in an original way: from simple wine tastings to multi-sensory experiences, in a kaleidoscope of opportunities to learn about grappa and the history of those who produce it, which in some cases leads our minds hundreds of years back.

Here is a list of the distilleries belonging to Distillerie Aperte
At the top of the ranking of the regions with the highest number of participating distilleries, Piedmont remains with nine Grapperie Aperte (Gualco, Magnoberta and Mazzetti d'Altavilla in the Alessandria area, Montanaro and Levi Serafino in the Cuneo area, Beccaris e Berta in the Asti area, Revel Chion near Turin e Francoli in the Novara area), followed by Alto Adige with seven ones (Fischerhof, Lahnerhof, Kellerei Algund Cooperative, Psenner, Roner, Walcher and Zu Plun), by Veneto with five (Roberto Castagner Acquaviti and Grappa Veneta Institute in the Treviso area, Poli Distillery, Brunello Brothers Distillery and LI.DI.A. Distillery in Vicenza), by Lombardy with four (Borgo Antico San Vitale Distilleries Franciacorta and Peroni Maddalena Distillery in the Brescia area, Montù Beccaria Historic Winery in the Pavia area and Rossi D?Angera Distillery in the Varese area), by Tuscany with three (D.E.T.A. Distillery of Barberino Val d'Elsa, Bonollo Torrita of Siena and Nannoni Grappe of Paganico), by Valle d' Aosta with two (La Valdotaine and Saint Roch) as well as Trentino (Marzadro and Giovanni Poli Distillery), by Friuli Venezia Giulia with one (Tenuta Villanova in Farra d'Isonzo ), the same as Sicily (Russo Brothers Distillery in Santa Venerina).
