Gold Medal to Giacomo Tachis: the Tuscany Region rewards the winemaker–humanist

Giacomo Tachis, a very famous winemaker of great wines like Sassicaia, Solaia, or Tignanello today, has received the Pegasus Gold Medal of the Tuscany Region.



«Tuscany is grateful to Tachis for the fundamental contribution to the "Renaissance" of Italian wine – the Assessor for Agriculture Gianni Salvadori said – making it become our first ambassador in the world, and for having in this way contributed to enhance, from the business point of view, and not only, many areas of our Region. Therefore, I am honored to award, on behalf of the Tuscany Region, the Gold Medal with Pegasus to Giacomo Tachis, as a sign of gratitude, friendship and deep esteem, mine and of all the citizens of this Region».
