The best under 35 oenologist of the year is Francesco Versio, from 2011 oenologist of the "Bruno Giacosa" company of Neive (CN). Francesco Versio, a young oenologist from Piedmont who proved to "know how to best interpret the spirit and legacy of Giulio Gambelli", or "the highest respect of the raw material, of the variety, of the vintage and of the territory".
These are the reasons of the Gambelli 2015 Award promoted in collaboration with the Consortia for the Protection of Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and with the contribution of the wineries that had Gambelli as friend and teacher (Fattoria di Rodano, Il Colle, Montevertine, Poggio di Sotto, San Donatino, Tenuta di Bibbiano, Tenuta Ormanni).
The jury found him among the 16 oenologists finalists out of the 46 previously reported by a panel composed of 35 journalists in the wine and food industry.
The prestigious Giulio Gambelli award was established by ASET (Associazione Stampa Enogastroagroalimentare Toscana) and IGP (I Giovani Promettenti, the blog network created by Lorenzo Colombo, Roberto Giuliani, Carlo Macchi, Luciano Pignataro and Stefano Tesi)
