Today the general assembly of Confagricoltura confirmed Massimiliano Giansanti as president by acclamation. The only candidate, he will lead the longest running professional agricultural organization for the next four years. Romano, 46, Giansanti is president of Agricola Giansanti srl and director of the Di Muzio farms group, with farms in the provinces of Rome, Viterbo and Parma. He has also been vice-president of Copa, the Committee of European Agricultural Organizations, for a month.

The assembly also elected the nine members of the Giunta, confirming the position of the Piedmontese Luca Brondelli di Brondello : 56 years old, married, two children, he runs the "Tenuta Guazzaura" farm and holiday farm in Serralunga di Crea (Alessandria) in 160 hectares of surface, where it grows cereals, fodder and vineyards.

Luca Brondelli di Brondello was president of the Anga (Giovani di Confagricoltura) of Alessandria and of the Anga Piemonte. Current president of Confagricoltura Alessandria, since 2014 he has been president of Enapra, the training and professional updating body of Confagricoltura and since 2017 he has been a member of the national council of Confagricoltura.
