Festa del Bacalà 2020 an edition widespread on the territory full of news and by reservation

Sandrigo (Vicenza) is preparing to host an unprecedented edition of the 2020 Bacalà Festival , focusing on the territory. The event is shortened by the presence of stands in the square, from 18 to 21 September , but is enriched with collateral events spread throughout the area . Instead of the traditional Gran Galà del Bacalà, on Thursday 10 September a charity dinner will take place in favor of the City of Hope with the delivery of the 56th Basilica Palladiana Award . The evening will be by reservation only and the donations collected will be donated the same evening to the Foundation. The thirty-third appointment with the famous dish of the Vicenza gastronomic tradition will officially start with the Pic Nic in the Vineyard at the IoMazzucato winery in Breganze , on Saturday 12 September and will close on 26 September with Bacchus and Baccalà, at Villa Mascotto di Ancignano di Sandrigo. Two opportunities to taste many bacalà-based specialties paired with white and red wines from the Veneto region. During the weekends of September and October, customized tourist packages will also be available, dedicated to all enthusiasts who wish to experience a weekend discovering the villas and cellars of the area with authorized guides, as well as the gastronomic tradition with tastings in recommended restaurants where they will find specially created menus with dishes based on bacalà. Access to the Festa del Bacalà 2020 and collateral events will be allowed only by booking online at the website www.festadelbaccala.com , in order to guarantee social distancing and maximum safety for all participants. Online it will be possible to choose the day, the time (there will be two shifts per evening available), the table and the seat, as well as the dishes you want to taste. The order will be automatically sent to the organization and the payment will be electronic by debit card, credit card or pay pal, to avoid gatherings and waiting at the cash desks. Among the dishes of the stands will always be available bacalà alla vicentina and creamed, cod croquettes with fried potatoes and a dish without bacalà. The first courses will alternate in the various evenings with two novelties, lasagna au gratin with bacalà and mezzelune stuffed with creamed bacalà, in addition to the classic gnocchi and risotto with bacalà. As every year, there is also the possibility of taking away various specialties in the dedicated stand, with independent cash desk, during the four days of the Bacalà Festival. Access to the tensile structures will be allowed only after the measurement of the body temperature by the health center and the sanitation of the hands. Once inside the food stands you will be accompanied to your seat by the stewards and the volunteers will bring the ordered dishes directly to the table, as in a real restaurant, while in the case of further drinks it will be possible to order through the iPads supplied to the dining room staff . The new service mode will be tested this year and could also remain for the next editions, with a view to making the experience at the Bacalà Festival unique and engaging.
