The growth of Gambero Rosso is consolidated: after the entry in May of the new director Marco Mensurati, another historic signature, that of Enzo Vizzari, joins the team of the most prestigious editorial platform in Italian food and wine.

Vizzari is one of the fathers of Italian gastronomic culture and one of the greatest inspirers of the role that the diffusion of the culture of good food has had in Italy.
Born in Varallo Sesia, in the province of Vercelli, with a degree in Law, Vizzari has dedicated his career to his great passions: writing and eating and drinking well. He began working as a press officer and then head of the press office at Pirelli; he then moved to Confindustria Brescia and began publishing restaurant reviews first in BresciaOggi and then in the Giornale di Brescia, always under the pseudonym Aldo Corte (father's name, mother's surname). From 1996 to 2001 he had a weekly column in the Corriere della Sera. All this while he was director of Confindustria Biella, from 1989 to 2001; a position he left when he took over the direction of the Guide dell'Espresso, for which he began writing in 1983 at the invitation of the founder Federico Umberto d'Amato. It closes with the Guides in the spring of 2022, a few weeks before the new publisher joins.
In 2005 he received the “Oscar del vino” award as best journalist from the Italian Sommelier Association and in 2007 the “Luigi Veronelli” lifetime achievement award as best food and wine journalist. Finally, in 2017 he crowned his career with the prestigious "La Plume d'or de la Gastronomie" award for the best non-French food and wine critic
