Enrico Coser is “Person of the Year” for Vinoway Selection 2024

nrico Coser , with his family owner of the Ronco dei Tassi winery in Cormòns (Go) is the "Person of the Year" for Vinoway Selection 2024 , a prestigious event created to celebrate excellent Italian wines and the most influential figures in the sector viticulture. The Friulian winemaker received the coveted recognition on Saturday 21 October during the refined Dinner with the Stars hosted in the evocative setting of Castello Monaci Resort in Salice Salentino.

“Passion, constant commitment and the desire to constantly improve his historic Ronco dei Tassi winery in Cormòns have made this young entrepreneur a model to follow for the extraordinary results he has achieved”. This is the motivation for the Award, which was presented to him by Davide Gangi , CEO and Founder of Vinoway Italia, and president of the authoritative jury of experts including journalists, sommeliers and industry insiders.

“It is a totally unexpected award that makes me extremely proud not only for myself, but also for my family - says Enrico Coser - It is a goal that we have achieved together, because it is thanks to my parents that I became passionate about this splendid world and it is always thanks to them that I have had the opportunity to carve out my space within the company. Thanks to their trust, I have taken on important responsibilities that have allowed us to grow and have allowed me to arrive today happy and grateful, with a great enthusiasm to continue to improve more and more."

Located on Mount Quarin in the heart of the Collio Goriziano, Ronco dei Tassi extends for over 50 hectares, of which 23 are vineyards and the remainder are forest. Founded in 1989 by Fabio Coser with his wife Daniela, who were joined by their sons Matteo and Enrico, it develops eco-sustainable viticulture, with cultivation techniques that are extremely respectful of the environment and qualitative and quantitative controls that allow the production of healthy grapes with the lowest possible impact, preserving the property's richness and biodiversity. Its name derives from the presence of some colonies of yews, which during the period in which the grapes are ripe become greedy consumers of the sweetest bunches and from the particular layout of the vineyards on terraces well exposed to the sun, called "ronchi".

“Son of art, I have lived in the world of wine since I was little, with my parents who have always involved me and taken me with them even on business trips - says Enrico - Passionate, thanks to my father's friendships and acquaintances and then to those gained during my years in the field, I had the opportunity to go behind the scenes of the most prestigious Italian and foreign wineries, listening and taking advantage of the enormous experience of their winemakers. I am very ambitious and I like to experiment. I thank my father, who always allowed me to try out both in production and commercial what I thought could be interesting for our company every time I returned with great enthusiasm from a trip. We are a family business where everyone ultimately needs to know how to do a little bit of everything. I mainly follow the production, especially for the winemaking part during the harvest, where I personally take care of all the phases and processes and then, together with my father, the blends of the various wines. I also take care of the commercial side both in Italy and abroad.”

The key to the success of Ronco dei Tassi is precisely the strong bond between the family and the brand and the philosophy that has characterized them since the beginning "Ronco dei Tassi has always belonged to Fabio and Daniela Coser and for a few years now I can slowly say which also belongs to Matteo and Enrico.
