pringo Bronze from the Le Manzane winery of San Pietro di Feletto (TV) wins the special “Tullio de Rosa” award for the best sparkling wine at the 25th EnoConegliano, the regional wine competition created in collaboration with the Association of Italian Wine Technicians. The event took place this weekend in one of the most evocative locations in Conegliano, the former Convent of San Francesco.
Created in 1998 thanks to the Dama Castellana Association and its priors, EnoConegliano immediately had great success even beyond regional borders. «It is a source of great pride for us to receive this award - commented Ernesto Balbinot, owner of Società Agricola Le Manzane - also because Springo Bronze was the first “Rive” of our cellar. It is a recognition that goes to our family, but also to our winemakers and to all our employees who, together with us, have strongly believed in this project."
In addition to the special “Tullio de Rosa” award for the Conegliano Prosecco Superiore DOCG Dry Rive di Manzana Springo Bronze Millesimato 2022, the Le Manzane winery also received two diplomas of merit for the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze DOCG Dry Springo Gold and the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut “20.10” Millesimato 2022.
Springo Bronze is the result of the patient search for the perfect vineyard, found through a singular combination of terroir, exposure and microclimate which, together, manage to guarantee the grapes necessary for the creation of a high quality product. In fact, it was born on the Manzana Hill in the municipality of Vittorio Veneto, one of the 43 "Rive" elected and authorized throughout the area with a guaranteed denomination. The vines, exposed to the south on the steepest hills, the clayey and very compact soil together with the daily temperature range and the breeze, give Glera grapes rich in aromas and acidity. Bright straw yellow color enlivened by the fine and persistent perlage, the nose reveals broad and intense notes of yellow pulp fruit, hints of peach, apple, banana and wisteria flowers with a light finish of bread crust. The flavor is rich, fresh and creamy with good fullness and length in perfect correspondence with the elegant and harmonious aroma.
The Le Manzane winery is located in San Pietro di Feletto, halfway between the Dolomites and Venice, in the hilly area of the province of Treviso , in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore Hills , proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site on 7 July 2019. The family-run company has been strongly rooted in the Treviso area as a producer for almost 40 years . The winery, among the most dynamic and interesting in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene wine scene, distributes both in Italy and abroad, reaching 36 countries.
