"Emilia Wine" is the new wine pole of the Emilia Romagna region, that integrates three cooperative wineries: Reggio Emilia, Arceto, Prato and La Nuova of Correggio.
Emilia Wine includes over 700 producers and will make a third of the Reggio Emilia wine, reaching 350,000 quintals of worked grapes.
Lambrusco will be worked in Arceto, while the other two producers will focus on "the very red one".
Emilia Wine arises from the fusion of three wineries, one associated with Legacoop (Prato), the others associated with Confcooperative (Nuova di Correggio and Arceto, this one with double membership. The Presidents of the three wineries are Davide Frascari for Arceto, Italo Veneri for Nuova di Correggio and Renzo Zaldini for Prato.
"It is a great news for our territory", comment with satisfaction the directors for agriculture of the two provincial unions of Confcooperative and Legacoop Alberto Lasagni and Luigi Tamburini. "This fusion is the result of a culture which is more and more oriented to the integration that is changing the features of the agri-food cooperative reality of Reggio, through concentrations that are highly market oriented, and that have been investing for ten years both in the wine industry and in the dairy industry". All the structures of the three wineries, that invoice in total 20 million Euro, will continue to work.
